The Oscars were great this year. Not that I have ever really watched the Oscars that regularly. I do remember staying up late at night in Switzerland to watch the live telecast - the only other time we did that was for the Super Bowl. There is just something cool about being part of a worldwide event, a shared world moment.

The Best Job in the World, without electricity
I finally got my application for the Island Reef Job (www.islandreefjob.com) uploaded. There have been some horror stories of people waiting for 22 hours, sitting there, trying to get their video applications submitted before the deadline. It took me 8 hours - I’ll take it.
I feel relieved that its uploaded and out of my hands, and, as always, hopefully optimistic that I am going to make...

I just hope that whatever habit changes will remain once we all start being rich again - I bet we are just going to forget this and go back to our huge SUVs and wasting energy…think before you travel, and travel with a conscience! Its a hard thing to remember, but every single decision you make in your life affects those around you…strangers and friends alike.

The images taken from this camera are jaw-dropping. What is this going to mean for the divide between photographers and videographers? I think the photographers might now have an advantage, because they are able to apply their knowledge of lenses and depth of field and quickly adapt to shooting video.
